I thought a few quotes might give us a bit of insight into what Mother Angelica was like. We missed the joy, clarity, humor and straightforwardness that she had. Many of us, the younger generation, did not have much exposer to Mother herself.
Her founding EWTN has been the looked to organization for religious media.īecause of our role in media also, Fire of the Spirit looks up to Mother Angelica as an inspiration to continue what we do. Her life was a tremendous witness of what one can do what God wants that person to do. The only consolation for us of her loss is the fact that she died on Easter Sunday, how appropriate.
Faith is one foot on the ground, one foot in the air, and a queasy feeling in the stomach.Last Sunday Mother Angelica passed on to her eternal reward. We live in such a poverty of truth today. It's your obligation to speak the truth, and everyone can either take it or leave it. 
After all, even the devil believes that God exists.
Simply believing in the existence of God is not exactly what I would call a commitment.

God always forgives when you are totally repentant and you desire to change. God keeps the entire Universe in order, and still finds time to take a personal interest in you and me. Only in eternity shall we see the beauty of the soul, and only then shall we realize what great things were accomplished by interior suffering. If you're not a thorn in somebody's side, you aren't doing Christianity right. It takes a lifetime, and you don't get your diploma until you're dead. Where most men work for degrees after their names, we work for one before our names: 'St.' It's a much more difficult degree to attain. 
Sometimes my worst day - one filled with pain and suffering - in the eyes of God, is my best day if I've born it cheerfully and I've born it with love.God wants you to be in the world, but so different from the world that you will change it.You can't go to Heaven hating somebody.
